Michel Roy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Roy joined ECU as President and CEO in 1999 and became Chairman and CEO in 2007. He came to the Company with 25 years experience in international mining, in Mexico, Brazil and Canada. In 1977 he worked for Patiño Mines before moving to Camchib Resources where he worked from 1981 to 1986, supervising large exploration teams with multimillion dollar budgets. From 1986 to 1995, he worked as vice-president or President of various junior companies doing exploration work in Eastern Canada. During that time he started a small gold mining operation in the Rouyn-Noranda area. From 1995 to 1999, he was a consultant for several junior mining companies with properties in Canada, the USA, South Africa, Brazil and Mexico.
Mr. Roy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the UQAM in Montreal in 1974. He later obtained a Masters degree in Project Management in 1997 from the UQUAT in Rouyn-Noranda.

Stephen Altmann, Director and President
Mr. Altmann joined ECU in January 2007 and is a former Investment Banker where he provided financial and strategic advice to a large selection of domestic and international public companies. From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Altmann worked in the corporate finance department of RBC Dominion Securities and later, Credit Suisse First Boston as Vice President, where he was primarily responsible for coverage of companies in the mining sector. From 2000 to 2006, Mr. Altmann was a Director in the mergers & acquisitions group at Scotia Capital, providing strategic advice to mining and industrial product clients and later became a Managing Director for the mining group at Desjardins Securities. Mr. Altmann also worked as a geophysicist prior to his investment banking career.
Mr. Altmann holds a Masters of Business Administration from McMaster University and an Honours Bachelor of Science (Geophysics) degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Armando Lujan Acuña, President of Mexican Subsidiaries
Mr. Lujan joined ECU in 1997 when the Company acquired BLM Minera Mexicana, S.A. de C.V., now a subsidiary of ECU Silver, where he had worked as a mine superintendent since November 1994. Since that time, he has occupied various positions from general mine manager to president of the Mexican subsidiaries of ECU Silver. Earlier in his career, from 1976 to 1994, he worked for several small and large companies and the Government of Chihuahua in various positions from mining engineer to general manager of a small mining operation.
Mr. Lujan earned a degree in mining and metallurgical engineering from the University of Chihuahua in 1976.

Dwight Walker, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Walker joined ECU in November 2007 and has 30 years of extensive experience in financial and administrative management in the manufacturing, distribution, retail and public accounting sectors. He has worked in large and small corporate environments including Ernst & Young, Patheon Group and Richards Packaging, a TSX listed public company where he was most recently Director of Administration report directly to the CFO.
Mr. Walker is a Certified General Accountant and has his Bachelors in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

Joaquin Rodriguez Lujo, Vice President of Exploration
Mr. Rodriguez joined ECU in 1997 when the Company acquired Minera William S.A. de C.V., now a subsidiary of ECU Silver, where he had worked as an exploration geologist since 1995. Since then he has occupied various positions in the Company, including: exploration geologist, exploration manager, mine geologist, chief mine geologist and, finally, vice-president exploration. Prior to joining the Company, between 1988 and 1995, he worked as an exploration geologist for the Government and private companies.
Mr. Rodriguez earned a degree in geological engineering from the University of Chihuahua in 1987.

Francine Thériault, CA, Controller
Mrs. Thériault joined ECU in 1997 and has since served as treasurer and controller. Prior to joining the Company, she trained as a chartered accountant and worked in the auditing department of a public accounting firm.
Mrs. Thériault earned her Bachelor degree in Accounting in 1989 from UQUAT in Rouyn-Noranda and her CA designation in 1992.

Ruben Montiel Rodriguez, Mill Manager
Mr. Montiel joined ECU in 1997 when the Company acquired Minera William S.A. de C.V., now a subsidiary of ECU Silver, where he had worked since 1995. In the years he has been with the Company he has planned and supervised the construction of and operated, until 2001, a 600 tpd cyanidation mill; he has upgraded and completed the construction of the La Parilla mill and the Velardeña mill currently operated by the Company, where he is general manager of the two mills. Between 1975 and 1995, he worked on different research projects for cyanidation and flotation of complex ores, as metallurgist and manager of various metallurgical plants and supervised the construction of metallurgical plants.
Mr. Montiel earned a degree in chemical and metallurgical engineering from the University of Sonora in 1974 and conducted post-graduate work in 1975 at the same University.
